Players solve real-life situations through utilizing hydroponics, a sustainable water-based farming method, to address extreme weather and agricultural challenges.

Meet the team

Amber Carlin-Mishkin

Founder & CEO

Amber has a BA in Psychology from Fordham College and an MS in Education from Brooklyn College. She is a seasoned and successful founder, educator, and director with expertise in the management of start-ups, programs, and classrooms, especially in the areas of sustainability and science. She is currently an NYC public school Science and Hydroponics teacher and lives to love her indoor farm! In the last ten years, she has become an innovator in game-based learning and sustainability programs, fine-tuning an aptitude for design thinking in K-8 education settings. Amber has a successful track record in launching innovative products that provide comprehensive solutions for teachers, students, schools, and companies.

Andrea Russo

Director of Finance & Marketing

Andrea holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at NYU and a BA from Lehigh University. Andrea has experience working directly with clients to identify business needs and orchestrating timely and creative solutions. Her volunteer work includes ten years on her co-op board of directors and as an active PTA member at two schools, including two years as a board Treasurer. Andrea is interested in alternative learning tools and is also a novice hydroponics grower and composter.

Kiwi Liu

UI/UX Developer

Kiwi has a BFA in Interactive Media Arts from NYU and is a User Experience Designer specializing in community-centric, interactive, and immersive experiences. She is an award-winning creator who initiated two Hackason projects that won First Place and Second Place in the Sustainability and Culture tracks, respectively. Kiwi is excited to find better sustainability solutions for our world through education and design.

Eric Ni

Game Developer

Eric has a BFA in Game Design from NYU and is a Unity and Unreal Developer specializing in interactive AI behavior and action gameplay programming. He is also a founder and programmer for Mergician Productions, a company developing action-strategy RPG in Unreal, called Stellarune. Eric is excited to use games as a key tool in improving educational and environmental resources for the next generation of learners.
